In perfect condition, a rare, beautiful original vintage, large serigraph high quality print purchased at the Cesar Manrique Foundation in Lanzarote in the late 1990’s.
Vendimia or “Grape Harvest for wine” in translation.
This work was originally a mural on the walls of the Parador in Arrecife competed in 1950, along with Wind in La Geria and La Pesca or “fishing”. I have all of these prints available at the moment.

Cesar Manrique transformed the island of Lanzarote, his homeland. Tragically killed in a fatal car accident in 1992, at just 72 years old, he was fundamentally an environmentalist, an artist, architect, thinker and lover and protector of his heritage. His work saved Lanzarote from becoming yet another Spanish tacky tourist resort - destroyed by the need and greed for an income from tourism, while the local campesinos toiled, he never forgot their heritage. He created a utopia of visitors sites from the natural materials of the island - Lava, rock, volcanic ash, cactii, sand and sea and a vision of volcanic island life that all hope will never be lost. Long may he live on.
I myself was lucky to have been influenced by the island and the man himself, and of course the beautiful people of the island. My daughter is a Conejera (a girl born in Lanzarote). This is my collection of pieces from both Cesar and the island of Lanzarote itself. Please do let me know know if there is anything you are looking for as I may be able to find it for you. I now live in Almeria in South Eastern Spain, a desert area that is also inspirational. I am a total Hispanophile and Manriquephile, who will never forget his incredible artistry.
